The Conference will be held at the Faculty of Engineering of the Sapienza University of Roma, which is located in the historic Center of Rome, 200 meters from the Colosseum.

Sapienza was founded by Pope Boniface VIII in 1303 as Studium Urbis - the University of Rome. Today, with 145,000 students, it is the first university in Europeas to the number of students.

The Faculty of Engineering

The Faculty of Engineering has a long educational tradition appreciated all over the world. This enables us to enter the New Millennium with an innovative didactics, which aims at satisfying the request of the territory and of a labor world that is increasingly involved in globalization and internationalization. As proof of it, 40 courses active in the ancient seat of S. Pietro in Vincoli and in the centers of Civitavecchia, Latina and Rieti are the best evidence of this commitment.

The wide education offer ranges from Historical Engineering – open to new topics in the field of space research, renewable energy sources, Bioengineering- to the latest Information Engineering ICT and the most recent Administrative and Security Engineering.

Conference venue

The conference will be held in the two ancient lecture rooms located in the XV-XVI Century cloister of the main building of the Faculty of Engineering, near the basilica of San Pietro in Vincoli, which hosts the famous Michelangelo’s Moses.

The Faculty of Engineering is only few meters far from the Colosseum and the Roman Forum.
